Permanent Resident as Qualified Investor

The President of the Republic of Panama in use of his constitutional and legal powers by Executive Decree No. 722 of October 15, 2020 creates a new subcategory, called Qualified Investor, within the Permanent Resident immigration category for economic reasons for those who maintain investment activities in the Republic of Panama.

Some of the ways to prove having made any of the forms of investment to opt for this immigration category are:

1-By reason of Real Estate Investment

2-By reason of Real Estate Investment through a contract of promise of sale

3-Due to Investments made through a Brokerage House with a license approved by the Superintendency of the Securities Market of Panama.

4-Due to Fixed Term Deposit Investment in the Banking Sector
