Es Abogada en ejercicio desde 2002, panameña, obtuvo su grado académico de Licenciada en Derecho y Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad de Panamá.

Ms. Chong has been practicing law since 2002, Panamanian, earned her Bachelor's Degree in Law and Political Sciences at the University of Panama.

Magister GONZALEZ CHONG obtained her Master's degree in Litigation and she is a PhD in Law at the University of Rosario (Argentina-2006-2009).

She worked as an officer in the National Directorate of Immigration and Naturalization (Ministry of Government and Justice) for four years (2002-2005); the institution responsible for the administrative control of migratory activities of passage, transit, residence and naturalization of foreign citizens in the Republic of Panama, holding the positions of Legal Advisor, Deputy Chief of the Department of Visas (1 and 2) and the Assistant Secretary General, among others.

Also, Ms Chong worked in the public service for two years (1999-2000) as Legal Adviser in the Department of Consular and Maritime Affairs of the National Merchant Marine of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MTI).

She is one of the specialists in immigration procedures regarding residential, investors' and labor aspects.
